Zentangle Supplies

Your supplies for Zentangle

You do not need to have any special supplies for doing Zentangle. Quite often, I have tangled on a sticky note with just a regular ol' ball point pen. And if you attend any of my in-person classes, I will be providing all the supplies that you will need in that particular class.

But in case you're as gaga as I am over buying art supplies, here are some recommendations....

My two favorite shopping sites online are Zentangle.com and Amazon.com. Some of the items can also be found at craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Michael's.
(*Note that I don't necessarily vouch for individual sellers on the Amazon.com links - check the product reviews and search for the best price.)

Papers

My favorites are the official Zentangle paper tiles, but I also like the Strathmore brand.

Pens

My favorites are Sakura Micron pens, Sakura Gelly Rolls, and Fine-Tip Sharpie Markers.

Books

There are a lot of free instructions online - my favorite site is Tanglepatterns.com. But if you're looking for a book, here are some of my faves...

Kits

These are good starter kits and also make nice gifts if someone you know wants to start their own Zentangle practice at home.

Some of the above links from Amazon are “affiliate links.” This means if you click on a link and make a purchase, I will receive an affiliate commission. There is absolutely no cost to you.
